At german studios, we offer courses for all levels, ranging from beginner level A1 to advanced level C1. All our language courses align with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, which outlines the knowledge and skills required at each level. We are dedicated to assisting you in achieving your desired language level within this framework.
If you are uncertain about which level is suitable for you, don't worry! We provide a free placement test. If you remain unsure about your starting level after taking the test, we will gladly arrange a free placement interview with one of our teachers to help you determine the appropriate level.
Wondering what the letters A, B, and C mean? It's simple: they indicate your proficiency level in German. Roughly speaking, A denotes beginner level, B denotes intermediate level, and C denotes advanced level - although the transitions between levels can be fluid. In our intensive courses, super-intensive courses, and evening courses, each of these levels is further subdivided into sub-levels, allowing for more targeted and personalized learning experiences.
For a simple overview of the level sequence, please see the chart below. The course progression is determined by the number of classes per course. In the intensive course with four appointments per week, you will progress twice as fast as in the evening course with only two lessons per week.

What better way to start learning a new language than by diving right into the basics? Our intensive course runs Monday through Thursday, helping you build confidence in everyday situations like shopping at the supermarket, asking for directions, ordering food and drinks at restaurants, and making plans with others. You’ll also broaden your vocabulary for daily use.

You've already mastered the basics, and now it's time to move forward. In the A1.2 course, you'll learn how to express your thoughts and opinions in more detail, as well as discuss problems. Additionally, you'll practice talking about topics such as work, the weather, and the environment.

Congratulations - If you’re doing this course, it means you are already at the advanced level! Your basic vocabulary will now be systematically expanded. Topics include relationships, politics, and society, as well as studies and work, which can be very useful.

At this level, you’ll continue expanding your vocabulary, including areas that go beyond everyday conversations. For example, you’ll learn terms related to politics and history and practice expressing your views on these topics. Speaking naturally and spontaneously takes regular practice. This course focuses on engaging with a wide range of current, real-life topics at an advanced level, such as nutrition, social media, and migration. You’ll also practice various communication scenarios, including making phone calls, writing short texts, participating in discussions, and delivering presentations.

In this course, you will develop the ability to express yourself clearly and accurately, both orally and in writing. You will discuss positive and negative emotions with your peers, summarize infographics, and refine your writing skills, such as composing comments on audio texts. Additionally, you will learn how to create cohesion in texts and longer statements, ensuring your narrative is clear and coherent.

In the C1 course, you will expand your vocabulary in abstract topics, allowing you to express yourself fluently and precisely in both speaking and writing.
