About our Online Tutoring
Online Tutoring - What Is It?
Online Tutoring is a complimentary service designed to provide additional support outside of your regular course times. Whether you have questions about grammar, vocabulary, lesson content, or need assistance with your homework, you are welcome to utilize our free Online Tutoring sessions.
Where and When Do Online Tutoring Sessions Take Place?
Online Tutoring is offered twice a week via Zoom: every Tuesday and Wednesday from 17:00 to 19:00 (CET) with a speakeasy teacher.
How Do I Use the Online Tutoring?
As soon as you register for one of our German courses, you will receive your login details by email. You can use this link to log in on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and get support from one of our teachers. Please note that there might be a few minutes waiting time in the virtual waiting room before your turn to ask a question.
During the Online Tutoring session, you typically have 5 to 10 minutes for your session to ask your questions. However, you are welcome to stay for the entire 2-hour session and listen to explanations for other participants if you wish.
Keep in mind that the Online Tutoring sessions are attended by students of all levels, so don't be surprised if some questions and explanations are above your current level. It's an opportunity to learn from others' questions as well.

How do I prepare for the Online Tutoring?
Please prepare your questions in advance and be as specific as possible so that our speakeasy teacher can understand exactly which topic you need help with. If you need assistance with your homework, it would be beneficial if you could indicate the page in your workbook with the exercise you don't understand.
In case you miss a class, you can check your course schedule and inform your tutor about the topic you missed. The teacher will be more than happy to help you catch up on the material you missed.
I have missed a class. Can I catch up with the lesson in an Online Tutoring session?
The Online Tutoring is an additional service to your existing course and serves to support our students in learning German. However, it is not a private lesson, therefore it is not possible to catch up with the complete topic.
I used the Online Tutoring, but my question was not answered. What can I do now?
The teacher always strives to address as many open questions as possible during the class. However, there are instances where time constraints may not allow for every question to be clarified thoroughly. In this case just come to the next Online Tutoring session or speak with your course teacher directly.
